Our Director

Greetings Families and Community Members,

My name is Opal Church, and I am honored to serve as the Director of Winzler Children’s Center.

I’ve been part of the Eureka City Schools community since 2015, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside dedicated educators and families who care deeply about our children’s success. Through both my work and personal experiences, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the inclusive spirit and strong sense of community that define our schools.

My passion for education stems from a lifelong commitment to helping children discover their potential. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a child light up with confidence as they realize they are capable of learning, growing, and achieving great things. That joy and sense of purpose fuel my work every day.

I believe strongly in the power of inclusive learning environments—spaces where every child, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to play, learn, and grow alongside their peers. I belief that inclusive schools build stronger communities and brighter futures for all.

At Winzler Children’s Center, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where our youngest learners can thrive. It’s my goal to ensure that families feel welcomed, supported, and truly connected as they begin their educational journey. This is a special place, and I’m excited to grow and learn together with our preschool families.
